With January over, which seemed like the longestmonth ever by the way, 2018 is well and truly underway and with the new year comes the new fashion season. Below are my four favourite trends of Spring/Summer 2018 and some pieces I am loving right now!
Did you know, red is the most flattering colour on all skintones?
With the Autumn/Winter collections trickling into stores , you may have noticed one colour making a common appearence- red! From pillarbox red to jewel tone ruby red, this hue is taking over, and is a great colour to introduce into the wardrobe (yes, even for those of you who love wearing black!)
If you’re feeling daring, rocking a red blazer is one way to make a statement. Or, if you’re not confident with colour, try adding a red clutch and matching earrings to brighten up your little black dress!
Check out my fav pieces from the highstreet in this seasons hue:
That’s the ratio right? A different bikini for every day on holiday?
The past week it has been overbarely hot and it finally feels like Summer has arrived in the UK (of course we’re all moaning about it-are you even British if you don’t?!), marking the start of beer gardens, alfresco dining and most importantly, HOLIDAYS!
So to help you get vacation ready, I have chosen my picks of some of the gorgeous swimwear on the market right now, all from my favourite high street/online retailers.
As someone who never wears earrings, I repeat…. NEVER wears earrings, I am surprised I am even writing this post! But following an impulse buy of these tasseled ones in H&M the other week, I feel a slight obsession brewing. Not for the simple, classic stud earrings that you would wear on a daily basis, but the BIG, statement kinda earrings. The kind that Pat Butcher would envy and the kind that make your ear lobes ache after a day of wearing but look great, so it’s kinda worth it!
Really show off your earrings with you hair tied up in a bun or a slick low pony tail. Keep the rest of your outfit simple, to really draw attention to them!
Gingham is having a majormoment right now and the cute alternative to stripes is perfect for sunny, spring days!
I recently visited Australia and picked up this off shoulder wrap top from the huge Topshop in Sydney from one of their concessions, Lioness. It’s such a flattering top for spring and could be worn with black or white skinny jeans/trousers! To buy, see the link below along with a few of my favourite pieces out now….
It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was writing about my favourite trends for AW16 and yet here we are in 2017! Now that the stores are starting to bring in their new season collections ,I thought it would be perfect timing to share three of my fave trends for Spring’17 and where you can find some lovely pieces on the highstreet to follow the catwalks!
